Half way through our first RV trip we stopped on a whim to look at campers. Hours later we were moving our things in the parking lot of Smith RV Center in Idaho Falls, ID to our new 2016 Zinger Travel Trailer. We think that’s a pretty crazy thing to do, but we’re so very glad we did.
Zinger M-26 DT Travel Trailer Floor Plan
With tall ceilings, allowing for stacked, dedicated, sleeping space for each of our (tall)kids and a deep slide. There is plenty of floor space for those times when you just have to be indoors we feel this layout is perfect for us. With triple bunks in the back, a front bedroom for privacy, and plenty of storage throughout the camper we feel that this is a great fit for our family’s adventures for the next several years. But don’t hold us to that, we’re known for making spontaneous changes.
We have a little wish list and a growing to-do list to make the space ours. We’re also thinking ahead to what might work better for us in the future.
What We Love:
- Triple bunks allow a dedicated, full time, sleeping area for each of our 3 kids
- Tall interior height ceiling
- Deep slide
- Seating for 5 at table
- Cold weather package allows us to extend our camping season
What We’ve Changed:
- Maxxair Vent Covers
- Camper Cover
What We Plan to Change:
- Add shelves to closet/cabinets
- Add shoe storage/organization
- Install residential kitchen faucet
- Add separate curtains for each bunk
What We Wish Were Different:
- Tiny bathroom
- Tub makes shower short
- Not enough lounge seating for the family
- Short queen bed
- No permanent ladder for top bunk
While we could be tempted over to the right toy hauler it would have to offer most of the same benefits of our current rig. We’re pretty happy with our decision, regardless of the spontaneity of how it happened.
